Remembered
Mrs.
Robinson was
found as a stray in the San Antonio area.
After 10 days, no owners could be found and she came to rescue.
We are quite perplexed as to how this sweet beauty lost her people.
Our transport volunteer gives this report:
I like this one A LOT! Of course, I like all of them, but Mrs. Robinson is a big, beautiful sweetheart. I am still amazed that her people lost her. She should have no trouble being adopted and being settled wherever she lands. She's got a lot of love to give, plus she's a drop dead gorgeous strawberry blond.
Mrs. Robinson walked into our kitchen, said hello to our 4 Goldens aged 5 – 11, & was pleasant as could be. You would think she had lived here all her life. She is a wonderful lady. Mrs. Robinson must have had a good life before she became lost. She appears to be quite healthy & in very good shape. She is comfortable as a housedog, and is trustworthy loose in the house when we are at home, or baby gated in the kitchen while we are gone. She is a tall girl, and looks good at 76 lbs. She is calm, relaxed, polite, and gentle. Mrs. R. says family is very important to her. She prefers sleeping in the bedroom with her human & canine companions, and always chooses to be nearby during the day. She is hesitant to go outside to potty, unless a human or canine friend accompanies her. This may change as she settles in.
Mrs. Robinson does have one bad habit. She is obsessed with cats & would absolutely chase them if allowed. She should not go to a feline family.
Mrs. Robinson is a good car rider, and would enjoy a daily drive. She appears to be athletic & physically fit, and would make a good walking companion. Mrs. R. enjoys bites of apple strudel. She dislikes steamed broccoli, and will carefully pick it out of her food bowl & drop it on the floor. Mrs. R. would be quite horrified to know that she snores – ever so slightly.
As I think about Mrs. Robinson, this is what comes to mind… She leans against me as I rub her head, and it’s a peaceful feeling. I think she has the capacity to be silly & playful, but our household is quiet & calm, and she is adjusting to us. I know that she is very strong & in good shape, but she is choosing to be careful with us. Mrs. Robinson is displaying empathy. I like her, a lot.
