Lacey
Lacey came into our home as our first
foster dog after being rescued from the Town Lake Animal Shelter. She quickly
captured our hearts and adopted us as her Forever Family. Thought to be about
two years old, Lacey was a beautiful, petite little girl weighing only 45
pounds. She immediately claimed our home as her domain. She loved playing
Frisbee and ball in the backyard. She would run with bullet speed from one end
of the yard to the other, just happy to have the freedom to run and play. She
enjoyed her daily walks, trips to the park and was always eager to go anywhere
that included a ride in the car. Lacey loved everyone she met; but most of all,
she loved being within inches of her new family. She was constantly by our side
if someone was working on the computer, watching TV, in the kitchen or outside.
She claimed our bed as hers too, stretching out to stake her spot between our
feet. Lacey died suddenly and unexpectedly fifteen weeks after her arrival.
Although we had her for such a short time, she captured our hearts forever and
will be forever missed.
