we lost our beloved airedale, zelda, in january and knew we needed a
companion for our riley...a friend told us about GRR and our journey
began.....we fell in love with the pictures of sadie and were so happy to
hear that she was available....in the short week she has been with us she
has taught us about retrievers over terriers, how to love a big girl and
that at 2 you are still a puppy...we have renamed her skipper and are so
pleased to have her as part of our family......now that her final heartworm
test is negative we plan to enroll her in school...thank you so much for
bringing our girl home to us..............jenny, brian and riley
Sadie
came to GRR from a family who found her just a bit too active! She is a
wonderful dog. Not only is she beautiful both inside and out, but she is also
very smart. In her foster home, she has four siblings—three canine, one feline.
She has enjoyed getting to know everyone! It took some time for Sadie and the
cat to come to a compromise—namely, the cat won't attack Sadie if Sadie doesn't
charge the cat.
Sadie’s favorite hobbies include eating, running up and down the fence on
critter patrol, eating, chewing her nylabone, lying on her patio looking out
over her domain, eating, snoozing in her crate or on her doggie bed, getting her
belly rubbed, lying on your lap (front half of her body only!) to watch TV. Oh,
and eating. Rumor has it she loves swimming, but we have not been able to take
her to the lake so we haven't seen her in the goggles and swim cap. She is very
helpful when it comes to getting breakfast and dinner ready for her and her
siblings. She is right in the pantry with me making sure everyone gets the right
amount. The longest part of the day is the 10 seconds she has to wait for me to
put her bowl down. Then the race is on to see if she can finish her meal first.
Nine times out of ten she is the winner.
Sadie has been a wonderful house guest and she will be a wonderful addition for
her forever family!
